pre-wedding pounds

no... i'm not talking about my own weight. or dave's - though i'm sure we could both stand to get bikini / board short ready sooner than later...

no - i'm talking about luggage. i'm quickly realizing, we are going to have tons!

not only do we have to bring our clothes for the week (i know i know... all we really need is sunscreen and bathing suits) but being a girl, i of course have to pack at least half of my summer wardrobe. and shoes.  and wait - we have a wedding? this means on top our usual luggage, we also have to cart around wedding dress, suit, decorations, accessories, hair supplies, make up, etc.

oh boy. it's official, we need a private jet.

we've already arranged to have additional luggage amounts for our flight, but... having recently identified the decorations we're hoping to make/bring (this will be covered in my next blog post!) - we may have to look into adding more. we may have to encroach on our wedding parties precious luggage space... we may have to repack a few times to make everything fit.

and it's true, i probably don't need the 30+ sun dresses i'd usually pack.

somehow, someway - we will get everything to jamaica. hopefully.

dress SUCCESS

it's official. i have a wedding dress! the scales were finally tipped and i was able to make a decision. and - the dress is like nothing i thought i originally wanted. i actually found a dress, off the rack, in my size, in my budget, and i absolutely love it.

as the dress is now purchased and heading to alterations, i figure it would be fun and safe to show you samples of what I was originally thinking of wearing:

first potential dress find -  short, fun and sassy

absolutely beautiful with sparkly ferns

the one i couldn't try on but loved... SO audrey - i really thought this was the dress!

this dress felt like i was walking in clouds...

all beautiful - yet none of these were quite right enough to say yes to.

again - all of this really gives you no hints whatsoever to what i'll actually be wearing come 12/12/12... i even surprised myself. i actually went back yesterday to try it on again for the alterations dept. and liked it even better!

i can't wait to head back for my next fitting and see how the alterations look.



now that the dress is finally purchased - i only have.. hmmm. everything else to think about!

blame it on the scales...

it's official. i cannot make a decision about the dress. after being so sure i had finally found the one - i am now more confused than ever. is it really that hard to say yes to the dress?

i blame astrology. years of bop, ym, seventeen, cosmo and oh so many other magazine quizzes have proven to me, i AM a true libra.

 and so.. trying to decide between a short or long dress has been on my scale brain for a while now. and yet, no decision has been made. in true libra fashion, i have listed out all the pros and cons to either option. the condensed versions:
